Women come to me because they are overwhelmed. There are so many areas in their life where they are killing it, but when it comes to certain spaces in their home, they don’t know where to start.

Often I hear that they’ve started an organizational project a hundred times, but it’s hard to find the time to work on it. They’re frustrated. They often feel embarrassed or even ashamed because they can’t do it on their own, or because they’ve procrastinated this long.

— I get it. —

My own organizational journey started in my late twenties. After college, I really struggled with clutter. Physical, emotional, financial - even my time management - I had trouble with it all. But after years of frustration, overwhelm, and the feeling that getting organized was going to be too complicated for me... because I wasn't an organized person... I knew that things had to change.

After drying my tears in public after a particularly upsetting day, I decided that there had to be a better way and that maybe getting organized could help simplify things (vs. my fear that it would only complicate them). All I knew is that anything was better than losing my keys for the 100th day in a row or feeling like I would never have a savings account with a balance more than $2.

That was the first day of many that I was researching everything I could find on getting my finances in order and home organization, which took me down a path of learning about finding contentment in your everyday, decluttering, frugal living, and minimalism.

At first - it was HARD, and I doubted if I could even make a dent in my disorganization. But as I started making changes, it got easier, and over time - these systems started to click! I fell in love with how my day-to-day life became simplified. It changed everything - including (eventually) my career!

Over the years I have found so much joy in simplicity and organization that I had to share this with others - that’s how Tidy Revival was born. It's always been important for me to show that I'm not in this line of work to judge. I’m here to walk with others on the journey, so they can flex that decision-making muscle while they declutter, and help them create simple solutions for their home!

Home organization is so much more than shopping for beautiful bins. It’s about giving people the tools needed to edit habits and create lasting change.
